This mythological drama had faced massive backlash when its trailer was released earlier this month. From poor VFX to alleged misrepresentation of facts – ‘Adipurush’ faced a lot of flak.

But looks like this is not the reason why the makers of ‘Adipurush’ have decided to delay the film’s release. According to a news portal, this entertainer is being pushed to Summer 2023.

On 2 October 2022 teaser of the film is released and gained 69 million views and 1 million likes in just 24 hours, after KGF it is the second most viewed Indian movie teaser.

The makers of the film revealed in September 2020 about the cast that Prabhas is playing Lord Ram’s character, and the name given to him in the movie is Raghava. The role of Ravan is given to Saif Ali Khan with the name Lankesh, saif who already performs a rival character like this in Om Raut’s Tanhaji.

Adipurush Movie Story

As mentioned earlier in the article, this movie is based on Indian Hindu mythology based on Ramayana. The story is based on Lord Shri Ram, who travels to Lanka by building Ram Setu along with his younger brother and also, with the help of Hanuman and his army, fights and defeats Ravana ( the King of Lanka) to get her wife Sita back from him.

Madhya Pradesh home Minister Narottam Mishra said he is writing a letter to Om Raut to remove the objectionable scenes from the movie. He also stated that they are portraying the Hindu religion in the wrong way. His official statement is, “We have an objection to the portrayal of the film Adipurush.

It is not right to slander us by wrongly filming the focal points of the Hindu faith. I am writing a letter to Om Raut to remove the objectionable scenes, if those scenes are not removed then we will take legal action.”

BJP’s spokesperson Malavika Avinash said “I am saddened by the fact that director let the alone researching the Valmiki’s Ramayana, Kamba Ramayanaor Tulsidas Ramayana, or the umpteen numbers of interpretations of Ramayana that are available across board as far as Thailand where they do amazing performances of the Ramayana.”
